Skal Labissiere – (Olive Branch, Miss.), –  Reach for Your Dreams Academy – 2015
Height: 6’10”

Committed College: Kentucky – signed 11/13/14

Skal was outstanding tonight versus Oak Hill Academy. Although his team did not have another college prospect on it, he kept his team in the game versus Oak Hill Academy for a half. All of the interior skill that we saw at NBPA was evident here again tonight. However, he showed open court handling and even the ability to hit the pull up 3-point jumper. He showed the ability to score over defenders with a  jump hook or with the face up jumper at the elbow. Defensively he can protect the rim with his long arms quick leaping ability. When he puts muscle on to his frame, he has a chance to become one of college basketball’s premier freshman next season. He finished with a stat line of 32 points and 7 rebounds on 13-20 shooting including 2-3 from the arc.

Skal was particularly effective vs. the likes of Thon Maker and Michael Cage Jr.today in the post. He scored the ball well with his back to the basket and used jump hooks and touch to finish consistently. He showed a good motor around the bucket to get offensive rebounds. He also blocked multiple shots on the other end. An area where he could improve is physically where he should get bigger through his shoulders.

Labissiere is a long power forward/center prospect. He will post to catch the ball but struggled with Udoka Azubuike (FL-16) and his size/strength.
