Kansas made Jayde Christopher of Federal Way, Wash., , a high priority recruit. As a result, the four-star point guard chose to spend her college career as a Jayhawk. Christopher is one of the country’s premier passers in the senior class. Here is what we expect the dynamic lead guard to bring to Bonnie Henrickson‘s lineup in the fall of 2015:

Jayde Christopher – Cleveland HS (Federal Way, Wash.) – 2015
Height: 5’7”
Position: Point Guard
Club Team: Tree of Hope
ProspectsNation.com Grade: 4 star
Committed College: Kansas

7/12/14 – Nike Summer Showcase (Chicago, Ill.) – Mercedes Wetmore
Christopher is as dynamic point guard with a lot of skill to use on the floor. She showed an impressive double-clutch layup in transition that looked like it was her 1000th time doing it. She looked good reading the pick-n-roll situations. Her crossover dribble is a really nice move she uses to get essay writing on my mom my coach to the basket. Also saw her knock down a couple nice pull-ups.

5/25/14 – USA Basketball U17 Trials (Colorado Springs, Colo.) – Brandon Clay
Christopher is always slick with the ball but has adjusted her game to be more efficient. She’s a player at the point who is much better with scorers around her where she is responsible for facilitating the action.

4-26-14 @ Boo Williams Invitational – Hampton, Va., – Keil Moore
Christopher could potentially be the best playmaking point guards in country. She is right there with Taylor Murray (MD-15) as a passer and creator. She is crafty off the bounce as well. One are Christopher needs to improve is her lack of a consistent perimeter jumper.

12/19/13 – Nike TOC (Phoenix, Ariz.) – Brandon Clay
Christopher is smooth with the basketball. She’s a true point guard who likes to wiggle left to right. When she revs up her game, she gets into the lane consistently and looks for her teammates on the drive and kick. Continuing to add to her shooting range is essay on what my parents mean to me important for her long term development.

12/19/13 – Nike TOC (Phoenix, Ariz.) – Chris Hansen
This may have been the best outing for Christopher to date. We’ve been waiting for that breakthrough in terms of her creating offense for herself and it appears this winter is it. She’s got that killer inside-out dribble into a crossover that she continually beats defenders with and she is a gifted passer but here she converted going to the rim more often than we’ve ever seen which opened up the passing lanes. The confidence to impose her will on the offensive end is building and her stock should skyrocket if this continues into the club season.

8/18/13 @ Check Me Out Showcase (Snohomish, WA) – Chris Hansen
Christopher has solidified her status as one of the best pass-first point guards in her class on the west coast. She’s not going to create a lot of offense for herself but she is a gifted passer that putting her with a wing like like Brittany McPhee (Stanford verbal) she is highly effective at essay on my grandmother and me getting her scorers shots they want. She showed a nice inside out dribble, her trademark, for a lay-up. She got to the hoop this weekend a couple times and finished high on the glass.

6/15/13 NW Elite Showcase (Seattle, WA) – Chris Hansen

Christopher has good court vision, is strong going right, and has the shake to break defenders down. Still needs to add the consistent 3-ball to keep defenders honest.

3/1/13 – WIAA Hardwood Classic 3A/4A State Tournament (Tacoma, WA) – Chris Hansen
She showed how good she can be at the penetrate and pitch game as her breakdown skills are the best in the Pacific NW in either the 14 or 15 class. What has been missing is her willingness to score the basketball. She’s taking the pass first point guard role too literally. She has that kickout crossover move that reminds me of Moriah Jefferson (Connecticut freshman) but Jefferson complemented that with the ability to stop and pop or finish on the drive. I’ve seen Christopher score before but engvid essay where she’s at right now it takes some pushing from her coaches. It’s not a lack of skill, it’s mental.

6/19/12 – EBA Super 64 West (Phoenix, Ariz.) – Brandon Clay
Christopher is a thin framed point guard who has real wiggle with her handle. Lacks a consistent jumper. She’s smooth and has a tendency to move at one speed while getting into the lane off the bounce.

9/4/11 – Rising Stars Camp (Marietta, Ga.) – Brandon Clay

The point guard is a guck and quality ball handler. Christopher can create space off the bounce. She lacks consistent range on her jumper. A right hand dominant prospect, she has a good feel. She can push the ball, still plays at one speed a little too much.
