Murray ran the point here today and was solid with his decision making. He made the right play often whether it be with the pass or the drive. However, as the game wore on the tough defense by Traci Carter and the Life Center guards forced him to take tough shots late in the shot clock. He finished with 7 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in this loss.

Murray is a combo type who can play the point but also shoots it well enough to play off of it. He shot the 3-pointer better than I saw him in the summer time. His skill level is high and offsets the half step he might lack from the other elite points guards in 2015, 2016.

Murray had a signature performance this evening versus Callaway. He put up 31 points on 9/16 shooting, which included 5/9 from 3pt range. He added 6 rebounds on the night all the while playing the point guard position. He has size and has the ability to hit jumpers off the move. Later as defenders closed out quicker on him he showed his ability to hit the pull up jumper in the lane. His size at 6-5 and diverse skill set puts me in the mind of NBA PG Derron Williams.

Murray again showed his ability to hit the spot up jumper. He has great length on the wing and was impactful here today vs. Athletes 1st. He defended Allonzo Trier (WA-15) and gave him fits.

Murray is truly a dual threat in terms of his ability to play on or off of the basketball. He started the camp on the wing finishing in transition. He struggled a bit finishing in traffic with the bump. On Day Two, he moved to point guard and showed more of his skill making plays from the position for him and his team. He didn’t miss a free throw attempt in the games that I watched.

Murray is a skilled distributor with real length at the point guard position. He can shoot the 3-pointer and even hit a Tony Parker like teardrop in the lane. The right-hand dominant guard is smooth with his game.

Murray played a bit on and off the ball here today for CIA Bounce. He is a great athlete & showed he could hit the open jumper.
