Deja Strother of Bothell, Wash., has become one of the nation’s top center prospects. The future Washington Husky has plenty of tools for coach Mike Neighbors upon her arrival to campus next summer. Here’s our take on what she brings to the Seattle-based campus:

7/12/14 – Nike Summer Showcase (Chicago, Ill.) – Mercedes Wetmore
Strother had a really nice essay on my most memorable day in school showing the first half of the tourney. She was scoring at will on the block. She was posting hard, trying to get as much positioning as she could and was rewarded with layups. Going forward, Strother needs to continue working on her conditioning to play at her optimum production level inside the PAC 12 level. In addition, she’ll have to learn to close out short so quicker posts can’t blow by her on the perimeter.

3/1/13 – WIAA Hardwood Classic 3A/4A State Tournament (Tacoma, WA) – Chris Hansen
She played well in spots, a little better than the district playoff game we executive resume writing service michigan saw a couple of weeks ago. Appears to be recovering from a major injury still. She needs to get healthy and take that next step in her development. She’s big and sometimes powerful in the lane but struggles when she’s double teamed to even get the ball back out with a pass. For her size she will have to continue to work on getting better position more regularly. Free-throws are streaky but with her size and potential she’ll be a BCS school target.

7/7/12 – End of Trail (Portland, Ore.) – Chris Hansen
Strother is really showing growth in her ability to use her essay on my memorable day of life size. She is powering through contact now and even scored over some well positioned defenders with her strength. Still needs to polish up her inside finishes and work on her shooting form, if for nothing else, to become a dependable FT shooter.
