Cowans had a big night scoring 40 points in a win over St. Francis. He hit 8 3-pointers and was a perfect 15-15 from the free throw line. His easy release and perfect footwork makes him a consistent threat as a shooter. However, he is equally effective as a handler and a driver to make things happen in the lane.

Cowan Jr. is a strong crafty option at the point guard position. Building on last year’s eval, he has emerged as one of the region’s premier options at the 1 spot. He hit the game winner in this eval.

Cowan Jr. is smooth like HS teammate Tre Campbell (DC-14/Georgetown). Cowan is not as big as Campbell but he has the same skill set. His vision is legit as is his ability to make the open 3-pointer.
