Cage has struggled to turn the corner based on his play at City of Palms and here today. He has good physical tools couple with the skill to be more productive than he’s been the last two times that I’ve seen him play.

Cage Jr. was good on the glass with 13 rebounds here though he struggled from the field going 5-for-14. He’s got good size on the inside but hasn’t shown yet that he can be a consistent threat to score the ball around the rim. He did have five blocks in this one protecting the rim against VJ King and Corey Manigault.

Cage seems to be rounding out his game well. He is still not an elite athlete, but he is good enough to compete against some of the nation’s best. The new part to his game was he showed he could hit the trail 3 or even the step out 3 from the corner. He had a nasty tip dunk on night one versus Webster where he finished with an impressive 18 points and 16 rebounds. The next night versus Harry Giles and Wesleyan Christian was not quite as productive as he finished 8 points and 9 rebounds. However, he is showing he can the job of high level frontline player.

Agree with Jon’s eval below in that Cage is a solid option on the interior. He showed himself as an option for defensive purposes and area rebounding. Cage isn’t a great athlete that has the speed right now to track down loose balls out of area consistently nor did he display primary best college paper writing service scoring ability in this eval.

Cage is one of those post players who can be a primary post defender on one end and by a secondary offensive option on the other. He does not need a lot of touches to be effective. He rebounds the ball effectively and can start the transition break with outlets. He showed nice touch on the mid-range jumper. He is not an exceptional athlete, but not a kid who will get you beat in that regard either.

Mater Dei class of 2016 center Michael Cage Jr. was one of the more impressive players at the Nike Extravaganza. The son of former NBA standout Michael Cage held his own against some of the top big men in the country.Cage is a mobile post that runs the floor extremely well. He plays with great intensity on both ends of the floor and uses his hands to score with jump hooks and put backs around assignment writing service the basket. He is a good area rebounder on both ends and defensively he does a nice job of blocking and changing shots.
