Fox is such a dynamic option at the point guard position. He’s a skilled athlete who can attack the lane consistently off of dribble penetration. Fox was especially effective in the open floor during this eval.

Fox was great today versus the Oakland Soldiers. He possessed great energy as a play maker and a scorer. Impressively, he rebounded the ball well from the guard position. Again he used the ball screen very well and used his body to slither through the defense to get into the lane and score. He was the best player on the floor at the guard position here today and he is setting himself up as a top five player in his class.

Fox was much more assertive and in attack mode here than he was at USA in October. The left-handed point guard finished in transition and showed that he can create off of the bounce to get into the lane. He made it tough for classmate Derryck Thornton to do much with him. Fox showed that he is an elite distributor in this class here. He also shot the 3-pointer better here than in October though the release is still a bit flat.

Fox had a big game while I was in the back gym on day 1. Brandon watched him and that eval is above. When I watched Fox, he was solid although he did not have as big of a game as he can earlier. What caught my eye from the left handed point guard was how he was able to split the ball screen defenders and create plays going toward the rim.

Location: USA Basketball Developmental Mini-Camp (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

Fox has a slender frame and build. He played the point guard almost exclusively here. Fox is a left-handed option at the 1. He’ll have to continue to work on his jump shot. The release on the shot is flat right now especially from beyond the FIBA 3-point line.
