Brent Duncan – (Atlanta, Ga.) – Holy Innocents – 2016

Brent-Duncan-HeadshotStanding at 6-foot-6, Duncan is a rugged built forward who specializes in trying to tear down the rim anytime he gets a clean look in the lane. He lived up to his twitter nickname ‘@BrentDunks’ while at the EBA All-American Camp as he put up several highlight type moments while playing on TheSuvTv.com. Although a player with such ability may be expected to only play for the dunk, Duncan filled in the other parts of the game as well. He ran the court hard and showed the willingness to be physical on either end of the floor. The next step for his development will be to add range to his jump shot while polishing his face up skill. The dual inside-out threat of Duncan could prove even more harmful to defenders than his already toxic rim rattling dunks.

Jalen Hilary – (Atlanta, Ga.) – Central Gwinnett HS – 2017

Jalen-Hillary-HeadshotOne of the more promising prospects at the EBA All-American Camp was the 6-5 Hilary. The sophomore wing showed his perimeter skill this weekend as he knocked several outside jumpers and put the ball on the floor. This type of natural ability and skill should translate well for the young prospect, especially given the fact that he exhibited terrific coachability during drill work and game play. If he can learn to become equally physical on the interior as he is as smooth along the arc, he will utilize all of the natural talent that he has been blessed with. Look for him to contribute this season for coach Branden Mayweather’s Black Knights.

Ty Pendley – (Dalton, Ga.) – Southeast Whitfield – 2016

Ty-Pendley-HeadshotPendley brings several skills to the floor that allows him to contribute. A natural point guard who displayed his ball skill to handle the ball versus pressure and deliver the ball to the right place and the right time. Although he face defenders that often were quicker than him, he used his superior footwork and body control to create passing lanes to teammates. In the camp setting Pendley also showed the ability to play the shooting guard position effectively. He was able to spot up along the arc and knock down several big 3-point jumpers in game play. The next step for him in his development will be to become a threat to score off of the dribble. Utilizing the pull-up jumper is a skill that will only enhance the rest of his game.
