Garrett-Gilkeson-HeadshotThe 6-foot-2 wing started his busy weekend by leading his high school team to a Friday night win on the grid iron. Gilkeson, who plays quarterback for the AAA school, threw for 269 yards on 17-21 passing. With length and an athletic frame to match, Gilkeson proved to be as efficient off of the dribble as he was spotting up around the arc. With over a year of development in front of him, learning how to create his own shot could take him to a new level on the basketball court.

Chris Parks – (Sugar Hill, Ga.) – Lanier HS – 2018

Chris-Parks-HeadshotThe 6-4 freshman caught the attention of our staff of evaluators with prototype frame and solid skill set. Wearing a size 18 shoe, it is obvious that Parks still has several inches left to essay on metro bus service grow and already has the broad shoulders that are needed to make impact on the interior. His specialty this weekend was showing that he could finish around the rim effectively. He became a point guard’s best friend as he finished a number of drop off passes in traffic. Impressively he also ran the court well for a big man his size. Although he is an interior player, he did show glimpses of being able to face the basket as he did hit a spot up 3-pointer on day one. Aside from maturing physically, Parks will need to polish the rest of his game to become a consistent contributor in years to come. Learning how to affect the game when the ball is not is hands, on both ends of the floor, will be tantamount for his development.
