Kyvon Davenport – (Gainesville, Ga.) – East Hall HS – 2015

Kyvon-Davenport-HeadshotAfter stretching out to a height of 6-foot-7 tall, Davenport now patrols the lane as a legitimate paint defender. He affects the game with his long arms that allow him to block or alter shots without fouling. However, his greatest skill is rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. He is a good athlete with the ability to get off the ground twice quicker than most players can elevate once. His skill set has improved from the essays on death last time we saw him at the EBA Top 40 Workout. The power forward has always been good at running the floor and finishing in transition. However, what we saw this weekend was his ability to handle the ball in space and finish on the move. At one point he even displayed a nice side-step around a defender to finish at the rim.

Elijah Jenkins – (Atlanta, Ga.) – Riverwood High School – 2017

Elijah-Jenkins-HeadshotJenkins proved himself to be a competent shooting specialist during this camp setting. The 6-2 shooting guard displayed range to beyond the arc with a consistent stroke. Elijah, who is the son of Riverwood coach Buck Jenkins, also showed his basketball instincts on the floor that allowed him to find open spots on the floor. He is far from a standing shooter as he exhibited the ability to put the ball on the floor and hit the mid-range jumper. The next step of development for Jenkins to take will be to essays on community service add agility so that he can consistently defend his position on the other end.

Whit Moreman – (LaGrange, Ga.) – LaGrange High School – 2016

Whit-Moreman-HeadshotThe 6-9 post demonstrated why he averaged a double-double last season for his high school team. Moreman is blessed with height that few players possess at this level. He showed soft touch both on the interior as well as on the step out jumper. On the defensive end he is just as effective as he can affect shots with his length and rebound the ball in his area. The next step in his development will be to add strength both in his upper body and lower body. However, he should not sacrifice strength in terms of flexibility either. Being flexible is another area where he could spend some extra time working. That would enhance his lateral movement, which is also important in the paint.
