BUFORD, Ga. – The Elite Basketball Academy All-American Camp is designed as a place for college prospects to compete and showcase their talents. It’s a proving ground for players to compete and receive elite level skill development. Add that to the top shelf game play and there is no stage better suited for the best to shine. We take a look at class of 2017 prospect Colten Kresl’s performance from the camp.

Colten Kresl (Paradise Valley, Ariz.) Chaparral HS – 2017

Colten Kresl of Paradise Valley, Ariz., flew over 2,000 miles each way ready to show and prove at the Elite Basketball Academy All-American Camp. The 6-foot-1 sophomore guard showed quick, fast and in a hurry why he is one of the state’s top prospects. Kresl made shots off the bounce, handled it on the point and displayed a calm demeanor that endeared him to his teammates like ELITE 60 2016 prospect D’Marcus Simonds of Buford, Ga., from the opening tip of camp. Kresl’s sister, Lexy, is a senior guard at the University of Colorado and displayed that same type of skill set that Colten showed throughout the camp.

Kresl’s physical growth over the 12 months will go a long way in determining his BrandonClayScouting.com eval grade but know that the skill set is there for him to have multiple scholarship offers. Defensively, we expect Kresl to take the next step in his game and show that he can lock up top shelf guards while still being in a position to help his teammates when need be on dribble penetration. EBA Camp Floor Director, Jonathan Hemingway, said that “Kresl’s presence brought a unique feel to the camp. The combination of where Colten hails from and his consistent on-floor production during each session made it easy to appreciate his overall game.”
